Default The most rusted car (BLOWN MOTOR PICS IN FIRST POST)...

*UPDATED*
Instead of creating another thread I'll add onto this one. My isp blew up a fiber box so I was running at 28.8k for the past few days so I couldn't upload pics until today when they fixed it.

Here are some pics of the motor I blew up, more rust in the rear of my car, shots of the cutting and rewelding of my car and a pic of the world's largest rearview mirror...

The hole from the front:

Inside the front hole:

How the oil cooler and filter got knocked off:

The rust in the back of my crx where the spare tire goes:

Pillar where my car was cut and welded at one time:

another pillar:

THe longest rearview mirror i've ever seen:

The last shot of the car in the dumpster:

My next set of pics will be of the motor in the hf, but that'll be in a week or two. I am taking my time with this swap.

Well it was time to retire my 86 crx.
I bought this car about 4 years ago for $100 from my cousin's boyfriend. I had no idea what I was buying. I had two 85 civic dx's but never a crx or something that was fuel injected. I bought the car and drove it home. I drove it for a week or two when a friend told me an 86 teg drivetrain drops right in.

I found an 86 teg for $300 and swapped the drivetrain in my crx. I had no idea what I was doing and it didnt' run right till a few weeks later when I realized i had to do some wiring changes.

I bought another si for $50 and swapped some exterior parts over as you can see in this pic:

The motor developed a slight knock considering it had over 200k miles on it:

The d16a1 developed a slight knock and I wanted a zc so me and a friend hopped in my van on friday after work, headed up to Toronto and picked up a zc. We drove it home and installed in my car and had it running by Sunday night so I could drive it to work on Monday morning.

The zc just couldn't cut it for me so I put together a HMT kit. It lasted for a while when I got a little greedy with the boost at the track and blew some ringland in the zc. Then I decided to purchase a sleeved d16a1 and some rollerwaves and some eagle rods from a memeber on this site (B16destroyer). I had the lower end assembled and i did the rest with the zc head and all the rest. This is the same motor I have today.

Here is the built motor with zc head:

Well as most everyone already knows my car has a 'little' rust problem. :P

A friend of mine was selling an hf already converted to FI and had a d16a1 in it with a bad rod knock. I took care of the rod knock when i drove it to my garage 55 miles

Here is what my 86 si looked like in it's better days:

Well, today I stripped down my 86 si to the bare shell because I am dropping the built d16a1 with zc head in my hf. FYI a crx can fit in dumpster :

Canadian? I'm not canadian
"NYC86ZC" :P
It took me 9 hours to drive from NYC to Toronto each way. That's why I thought it was a good swap weekend.

Highroller54, no i didn't pull the wiring harness for the hf. I acutally worked on this car when my friend had it and i did the wiring changes to it so I am just going to keep his harnesses.

I'm right outside the city.

I chill in there all the time cause I have a lot of friends that live in midtown. I used to race in hunts point(bronx) and greenpoint and flatlands(both brooklyn) also on ocassion franny lewis blvd in queens.
Why do you ask?

RX7......those rims??!?!??!? Me and my boys call them "dominoes", they're nasty. If I had a set I'd give them away for shipping expenses.
