Speaking of getting beat and jeffs car, I remember a couple years ago sitting in line to get into Pacific Raceways with Josh Ross, and Josh started talking to this guy in an old chevy truck about racing Jeff in his CRX with the b20/vtec turbo on the freeway. He said he was surprised as ---- when "that little import" hung right with him the whole time. He was running mid to low 11's I believe, but dont really remember all that well... But he seemed like a pretty cool guy that was ok with not being able to beat a Honda.

well i got another jeep story about 7 years ago when i got my super civic hatch wih fart can, intake and body kit, it felt like it was the quickest ---- and the vtach stickers gave it the extra hoomp to beat anything. well i was cruising down a local highway at around 40 when i notice something aproching really quick behind me on the right lane so i kinda slow down and this old beat up and rusted cj-5 pulls next to me the cj is so trashed it has dents and scratches like a ****. so we stopped at a red light, the jeep sounded really nice and asked him what did he had in there, he told me "you'll need to find out" i smiled and started reving the heck out of the engine and pulled-off the stop smoking sum tire... right after the sweet 2nd chirp i hear this big roar on the back screaming hard and 2 seconds later he just flies past me with no chance to keep up with it, he finally slows down and we are now in another stop light and he wanted to show me the motor so we met a a gas station, when he pops the hood chevy 454 swap built for rock-climbing torque he said he had beaten the ---- out the jeep in local trails but the rebuilt motor only had about 5000 miles and was fast as ---- on a lightweight cj-5 body even with 35 inch tires!

I was on the freeway in my Integra and a newer Firebird was toying around with me. he must have heard the blowoff or something because he wouldn't leave me alone. He started yelling out at me that he wanted to race, but I said no. I was out tuning my setup when it was brand new running 8 lbs.
He said why not? so I said alright and gunned it. So did he but I was off and he was keeping up pretty easilly, then I heard a loud "POP!!" and his V8 muscle went screaming by I thought I blew the motor or something I was so scared. I limped it home only to find out a chargepipe coupler bleww off the pipe on my, lol.

another minivan story!One day during work i saw a minivan next to me in the light,he started to rev,i justed laugh cuz it was a astro,so it turned green he went for it then i was like ---- it and i gun it too,i never caught him. all i had was a short ram intake

i was in my hatch with a b16 like a yr ago. i was drivng on the highway and this car is blocking the fast lane. it's a new gen prelude with dark *** tint and it won't let me pass. so i pull to the slow lane to cut around. okay, so i cut around and nex tthing you know, this prelude is next to me. i slow down, it slows down. i speed up, it speeds up. so i decide to punch it and it's still next to me and then.. it starts pulling away around 90.. and then 100.. and then i just can't see it anymore. car slows down, i exit, it follows me, i go to the gas station and it comes in with me. i go over to the car to see what it has, and BAM. a girl comes out of the car. what a hottie too. she said she had a h22 turbo. i even looked.. i got owned...

Luckily I've only unexpectantly had my *** handed to me once in my car. Usually it's the other way around since my car looks like your typical POS CRX but it's got a b16.

Anyway I'm driving down the main strip of my town and I see what resembles a newer firebird in my rear view mirror, but he's driving like normal. So I get over in the right lane and wait for him to come and try to pass me but he never does. Eventually we make it to a light and I give him the look and a little bump of the throttle. I'm thinking okay what the ---- - it's a damn 6cyl firebird.

How wrong I was.

Thinking it's just a 6cyl I kind of slept off the line, didn't drop the clutch or anything just eased into it and then floored it. He didn't come past me until about 3rd gear but he got a good car length on me before I gave up the chase. Turns out it was just a regular Trans Am with the LS1.

On another occasion I got to play the wolf in sheep's clothing...on many occasions but this one is the most embarassing. So there's this guy at school with a 98 or so grand prix GT 2 door. He thinks it's the ----, talks all kinds of smack "blah blah blah 4cyls are slow". I meet him one day after school and he's talking mad ---- like "I'm going to apologize now for beating you later." I follow him out to some hodunk road in the country but it's on a hill so I'm like ---- that, if you want to race here get in the left lane. We found a different spot and he's like "is this okay, princess?"

Now I'm pissed, he called me princess. The usual 3 honks and go speech that I knew all too well, then we were off. Long story short - it got ugly at about 20mph and I ended up merging into the middle of the road with the flashers on and the bird out the window.

Oh, and a couple months later his brother wanted to race me in his like 93 grand prix GT (this family loves pontiacs) that DID have an HMT setup...but instead of an oil feed and an oil drain he hooked up two feed lines like a moron. Anyway I find him in traffic and he takes off, but I can't give chase due to traffic. He doesn't get cocky though so I suspect he's accepting the fact that his car sucks. I found him hanging out with the other ricers one night and he started talking all kinds of smack about how I couldn't beat him. He didn't know that I pulled up and was listening to this and he's like "yeah I beat that little red CRX" thats when I stepped forward and said "no you didn't." to which he replied "ummm, I was infront of you."

I said ---- that, we're doin this right now and I took his *** by 2-3 cars with a BAD spark miss the whole time.

a few months ago i was up on Transit Rd. which is where most of the local racing happens around here, and i pulled up next to a late 80's turbo LeBaron in my 94 civic ex(turbo'd at 10psi) at a red light. I was in a rush to get back to the dyno to see some buddy's get dyno'd so I was switching in and out of lanes all the 20min trip back down Transit to the dyno. In any case i must have passed this guy(in his 40's) and his wife somewhere along my travel because he pulls up next to me and tries to look over to see if I'm giving him the look to go(which I descretely was once I saw TURBO down his door, and that's the car my turbo came off of). So, not to look like a dork i decide to wait to see if he launches before i get into it and he does! LOL I pass him by the top of 2nd in time for him to hear my blow off, which no doubt he's smart enough to match that to the intercooler and realize I'm turbo too. So at the next light i pull up to he pulls up right next to me and we're both laughing and I nod to him to see if he wants to go for real this time and he laughs and nods back(his wife's just looking foreward the whole time) so when the light goes green we go and I smoke him right away and up to 70mph in the 45zone(letting it stutter at the launch to get the spool goin). So then here comes the IGK'd portion..... I stop at the next red light where these 2 kids pull up next to me and both give me the nod to go in a red GP(they must have been behind me and the Le Baron). I let it stutter to give them the WTF? thought's and when it goes green I jump 1 car imediately and accelerate through 1st gear..... then when I shift for 2nd gear, my knee hits the key and shuts the car OFF! Needless to say the Grand Prix which is a GTP goes sailin by! the kid's probably thought they raped me but hopefully not ...... 2 second's later I pull into the dyno shop.....
