What would be the difference between you not hearing about this guy being executed next Monday, versus the Save Tookie Williams pile of ----



Late Tuesday afternoon Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger received a petition for clemency from another death row inmate slated to be executed next month.

Attorneys for Clarence Ray Allen, 75, filed a clemency request to commute Allen's scheduled January 17, 2006, execution to life in prison without parole.

Allen is asking Schwarzenegger for sympathy because of his health problems. Confined to a wheelchair and nearly blind, in September Allen suffered a heart attack. He also has diabetes.

Last week Allen submitted an appeal to block his execution on grounds prison officials are not adequately treating his health problems.

Allen, who is from Fresno, was convicted in 1982 of masterminding three Central Valley murders while incarcerated at California State Prison, Folsom. A Glenn County jury found him guilty of three counts of first-degree murder with special circumstances and one county of conspiracy to murder in the slayings of 27-year-old Bryon Schletzwitz, 17-year-old Josephine Rocha, and 18-year-old Douglas White. The three were killed for either testifying or agreeing to testifying against Allen in the case that put him in Folsom. There he was serving a life term for murdering 17-year-old Mary Sue Kitts in 1974 because she knew of his involvement in a burglary. Allen has been on San Quentin's Death Row for 23 years.

The question is, was the hype over Tookie Williams based on people being against the death penalty, or because he was black. The lack of evidence or claimed evidence of Tookie's innocents, you'd think that the anti-death penalty people would be all over this case too, but they aren't. What was the other option again??

And a note about the above douchebag. He killed a girl because she was going to testify about a crime he committed, then while in prison (with the death penalty) he ordered three more murders of people who were going to testify against him. If the death penalty would have been carried out after his first murder, the 3 others would more than likely still be alive today. Now that's a case for the anti-death penalty wacko's.

The Tookie crap was straight race. I don't understand why they let people sit on death row so long. If you admit to it or they have absolute proof take you out the freaking back and flip the switch.

The "Save Tookie" debates were definitely racially motivated, nothing more than that. None of those people really cared about Tookie, it was just about saving a black man from the "racist death penalty".

Yeah, its so racist that it kills white people too.

I don't even think the worst part of it is that the "black activists" claim to be against the death penalty, because we all know the real agenda. I think the worst fraud of the whole thing is that the white anti-death penalty activists won't even come out when they know they aren't going to get the media of a black dude dying.

To me, it just brings that many more questions up when you see them out there crying about the death penalty.
