you have to realize that getting them and keeping them IS the game. Girls are good at mind tricks, whether they like/know it or not. Most guys are too stupid to pick up on them. Hence why guys get dubbed 'stupid'. Learn to play their games better than them. They wont know what to do after that, and you will hurt them ALOT more than you know.

there are over 6 billion people on this earth, the majority are women. If a girl doesnt return your call and you keep calling, send flowers, blah blah, etc.. you look like an incredible wuss. We all know girls dont dig on wusses. So the best thing for you to do, is realize she isnt interested right now and move on. If she sees that she doesnt mean that much to you, then maybe you can have another chance at her in a few months. Once a girl turns you down, chances of getting her to like you are pretty slim.
