im in the Marine Corps. 4years down...4 to go.

1. your knee wont do anything for you. im about to go through knee surguery soon...

2. drug's. the navy has a tollerance for it...so your fucked there.

3. gays. well, they can be open about it now in the army...so why not the navy to.

-wanna know how i would get out if i were in your shoes...go see the chaplin. you've only been in for 6 months. you still mean nothing to the military. until you hit your year mark...you can get out pretty easily by just sayin...this isnt for me. go to the chaplian...tell him everything, break down cryin...play it out. it might take a little time to get seperated, but you can get out.

-if that doesnt work...you have a cronic pain in your back. *research it. im not gonna tell you...(because you have to 100% understand it in order to make it work) but theres something that cant be detected in your back with some pain involved. its an easy out

suck it up. why the ---- did you join? did you think it would be a cake walk..you made it through bootcamp the most stressfull part of the military and you want out? you must be married cause they would not let a recruit out of the barracks. maybe the old lady is stressing you about money or something tell her that your going to move into the barracks. that way you can get some sort of seperation pay.

let him leave.. Ive seen this before, person wanting to leave but the "higher ups" want to give them a chance or someshit. Although his whining is valid, It ***** up the others having to listen to it, very contagious.

From the moment you contacted the recruiter, is a weeding out process-- and its ok if you dont like it. Better to leave now than blank out when a life is at stake.

If you're quitting because of financial hardship, your superiors should be able to help you out. They'll make sure you are spending your money where it should be (I have no doubt, kid are expensive). Contact your Superiors, they have an open door policy.

I spent the last four months in the army as a squad leader kicking soldiers from my unit out of the military. It's not an easy thing to do. The military does NOT like losing personel. I must have sent 10 guys back to Iraq because the division commander didn't feel the cause for discharge was enough.
Drugs.. eh. according to regulations you have to fail more than one urinalisis and have it documented that you were counciled before they can even think about discharge. Mental issues?? I had a Sergeant in my squad go AWOL because the Battalion Commander was doing everything in his powers to pull him back to Iraq. Didn't think the base docs were going to be able to get him out before being sent back. Medical Issues. Same story. Better be some good ---- and you'd better be able to prove it. Discipline Issues.. Make sure they document everything you get in trouble for. And dont expect any little ---- to get you out either. Most of the Disciplinary chapters I had had packets half an inch thick. And it still wasn't an easy sell. Not to mention having to deal with a Dishonourable Discharge for the res of your life.
If you go that route, try your best for an "Other than Honourable", at least you can have that changed 6 months down the line.

They told me they were going to give me a General discharge, under honorable conditions, and when it was all said and done, they gave me an "uncharacterized" discharge.

I wouldn't give a ---- if they gave me a Saddam Hussain discharge. The important thing is that the government doesn't own me anymore, and they can kiss my muddafuken azzzzzzzz.

this is true. all branches are different though. i had a buddy in the army pop 3 times on the **** test...and they never did ---- to him. In the Marine Corps...once and your done. Your out faster than flies on ----. I would think it would be about the same for the Navy...considering the Marine Corps is a branch of the Navy.

id go with the knee problem thing the military now adays will most likely let you go if you cant perform your duties based on a physical injury. if its serious enough i would get a medical discharge. they could really care less about the money thing. but go for the knee thing then the wife thing.

well no "higher ups" know anything about it. neither does anyone besides my wife my dad and you ********.
i'll see how it goes, im off this base in 6 weeks, i'll see how my next command is.
the only thing that has actually been as it was told to be is the first command im at.
nothing, literally nothing is how i was told before and during my enlistment process.
so what i joined for isnt happening, its not, "oh this isnt fun anymore" or "i just cant do it"
its i was straight up ------ lied to atleast 4 times and the bullshit hit my limit when i got reclassified
along with 140 others in my rate because the detailers fucked up.
bullshit, i left a good job and a comfortable lifestyle for reasons that were lies.
now i cant pay my bills. i had to buy ------ milk on my credit card last week, ---- that.
my wife and kid dont deserve to suffer through ---- because the military
thinks its alright to ---- people over.
so blow me with the suck it up ----.
renr, steve, i appreciate the comments
