we dont celebrate his birthdday.. on mlk day we dont buy a cake and remember that he was born on this day.. would you rather us celebrate it on his death?
on mlk day people give speaches and ----.. pro peace. pro human rights. anti death penalty anti abortion all thease people are active in demonstrations on this day.. it isnt called desgragation day.. but some people call it human rights day... but mlk bday is more popular.. i call it human rights day myself.. but it doesnt mean i dont think mlk played a big role in the civil rights movement.. its just a day.. many people were opposed to it.. but it became a law.. and it still is..

you shouldn't really get offended by that, I think blacks should get offended because we only learn about black history in the shortest month of the year. the rest of the year is white history. I know because I went to school in the states, and took three history classes in my senior year.and all I learned about was white history.. I was not born and raised in the states, so the scools did not teach me ---- about black history in the states

why not just do away with all the black history, and hispanic history, and include us in the rest of the year, instead of one month
IMO African Americans should get offended for having the shortest month, intead of being included in history, other than black history. white people should not get offended.

i swear man.. we were force fed that ---- 24 hours a day (i dont mean it being ----.. im just saying) we got stories written by africans that were cast away exiles talking about how they remember there great grandfathers stories of how the whiteman came and started stealing kids from the villages or the corny movies and doccumentries one after another... and the book of short stories full of poems by black people.. some of them were good.. i.e. langston hughes w. e. b. du boises.. and theres like 5 other ones i really like.., but most of them were for the most part.. boring? i think books on black history were subsidized or something like that.. cause all they had was books by black authors! that was only english class.. ----.. social studies.. were supposed to learn bout presidents and ----.. instead we studied and emancipation proclamation?

people going arround saying its a great document and ----.. forcing us to memorize it... and then a black teacher telling us conspiracy theories showing us maps where is showed africa being smaller than the united states.. then showed us another map that shows true sizes of the continents.. i raised my hand and im like.. uhhh.. there are many different projections.. that one shows it like that.. doesnt mean theyre showing it on purpose.. then he's like then why is africa the only small continent.. so im like.. look at alaska.. he kicked me out the class...

then 2 years after that.. i met an old highschool freind.. and he was part of the bamm movement.. forgot what it was called.. and he wanted me to sign a petition to block a proposition that would have stopped affirmative action.. so im like why block the proposition? he says because if it goes through ittl pass... so im like how are you so sure ittl pass? he looked at me like i was retarded.. i told him isnt it the american way to vote on ----? why dont you get black people off there asses and get them to vote against the proposition.. that way you can shut up all thease people who say AA is illegal.. u just tell them it was voted on and approved..

FYI a judge rules AA illegal a month back or so here in michigan.. and blocked it.

if MLK was alive today. he would be ANTI affirmative action. he caleld for all people to be EQUAL. not that blacks should get 40 extra points in the point giving process for acceptence at the university..

Of course the black culture hasn't become all it could, but if that's what we discuss in this post, we'll be here all day long.
More than anything I just want to know some specifics of what Marther did on the day we call his holiday. And there's no such thing as black history. History is history, and because it only involves one race doesn't make it white history, or black history ect.....
