LS/vtec or B20vtec which is a better swap

Re:LS/vtec or B20vtec which is a better swap
Ls/vtecs and Crvtecs are more or less the same thing. I'll make it simple, a Stock Crvtec (all motor) vs a LS/vtec (all motor) would put out more power and torque. However if you were to boost both these applications, yes the b20 will make more power, but not safely. The Crvtec uses mono/sami style sleeves, which are weak for boost, and if detonation occurs you will crack all the sleeves at once, and the block is pretty much junk.
B18a/b and a B20b/z Have identicle bottom ends, other than the b20's have 84mm pistons, and the goofy casting of the cylinders.

I personally would go for a ls/vtec, I would sleep better at night knowing I'm going to be safe running 22 degrees on the top end

Once you sleeve a B20, you start with 81mm, which would turn your big bad boy 2.0l into a 1.8l again. All aftermarket sleeves for b-series start with 81mm bore. So if you sleeve a B18 or a B20 you have the exact same thing.
A sleeved GSR or ITR would be the best.
btw, it cost extra to sleeve b20's because they have homosleeves, and thats why most people prefer to sleeve B18's.
