ive found that people who dont like those movies usually lack any type of imagination. They were usually the "jock" kids in school also. Where it was deamed 'stupid and nerdish' to watch such movies, or be creative.

Not true. I was far from the "jock" type and I had a hell of an imagination. Why do I got to be all these bad things just because I don't like the movie? If you want to go that route, from my experience the people that like these movies were all nerds and dorks that went to school chanting quotes from Star wars and making sword noises through the air. They had no real friends so they had to pick star wars as a replacement. They were all in love with princess Leah because that was the only girl they thought they had a chance with, but just like in real life, they didn't.
Like I said, I didn't want to bag on the movie, but I'm not going to let someone bag on me for not liking the damn thing.

I read the hobbit and liked it, so I read the loth trilogy, if you've ever read the books you like the movies not because of the story, but because the guy faithfully recreated the books(which is kind of hard to do) in such great detail. Those entire scenes are actually detailed that heavily in the books, which it's kind of cool to see on the screen. But I'm coming from the standpoint of having read the books, which for most people who haven't I bet it's hell to watch those things and have to pay attention for so long especially when half of the character's names sound the same.

Just saw it last night it was really good but long. I have to agree about the gayness of the hobbits. All crying and sobbing, hugging, too many scenes on that. The fight scenes are the ----, and gollum is the ----.
