i've had one 350, it did okay, but it was too slow, & well, it pisses people off that they just got beat by a 305, aka Boat Anchor, especially a 305 in a 4dr car

Agreed but saying the 350 was too slow for you is kinda dumb. you are going to be pretty hard pressed to find common 305's that will put out more than 350's unless you got some 2 barrel 2 bolt bullshit out of a mid to late 80's truck.

a 350 will take you farther and faster.

...But I totaly agree with rockin what you got especialy if what you got is pretty underdog for the V8 world. Twin turbo 305 would be hot. If it pops .....same ---- will go right on a 350......

The 305 is a piece of ---- and should be used as nothing more than a boat anchor.. sorry its the truth.... Just found as lt1 block (4 bolt) 30 over (355ci) 9: 1 pistons with DART eagle heads and a hot RV cam and intake for 800 locally......

PERFECT

I liker chevy motors.. but im sorry the 305 and the smogpig 307 were a waste for GM to ever put out.....

^^^ agreed. I swapped out the mote rims for the Z28's when I had my 76 camaro. really wanted some nice IROC's but i got the Z's for free.

the 350 was a L65 from a '73 SS El-Camino, had the same intake & carb i'm running now (Carter 625AFB, Edelbrock Torquer 2 intake), much more aggressive, solid lifter cam, & headers (tho shittier ones) & duals, & it was a pig...of course i also only had 2.29 cogs out back, but still, my 305 just seems to run much better overall, yes the 350 would always make more power do to more displacement, but everyone & their sister runs a 350, ---- that, i rather make them second guess their mods with a pretty mild 305, & then add a little boost to it, would just be pure & simple fun

14s on that 305 is pretty nice in and of its own. I'm curious as to how you are using the flanges now though.. Remote mount?

not really, just the turbos are going to be towards the front of the engine bay, behind the headlights...might move them closer tho, we'll see for sure once i yank the headers, & start mocking up ----
