Living in a garage... am I crazy?
Help me decide if I'm crazy. I'm a single guy who currently rents a house for 800/mo. Its a 3bd/2bath with 2car unattached garage.
A filling station near me went **** up about 6mo ago... they removed all the pumps, repaved the driveway and have it listed for 1000/mo. It has a 500 sq ft office, 4000 sq. ft work area. 3 bays, one bay still has body lift. One bay had a pit and the other bay is... just a bay.
Am i ------- crazy for wanting to leave my house (lease is up in 1 month), move into this filling station for a bit... get some sidebusiness going along with my normal day job?
I looked all over the place and its a ------- mechanics dream come true. Has I beams on the roof with followers for hoisting and even still has a large 440v air compressor in the back.
In the empty bay I was thinking of financing a dyno. I could then network the dyno & tuning computers so people could tune remotly. Some people have favorite tuners who can't always be in the area... so maybe that could bring in more dyno biz... wont cost any extra to do either. Dynos pay for themselves pretty darn quick from what i've seen.

normally i would say thas cool, but what about showers and other house hold accomidations that a garage doesnt have?
if you can turn a bay into a kitchen/laundry/shower/bedroom .. i say do it! and give me free time on the dyno (if you live in WA)
