I have noticed that when a kid in a toyota corolla with a muffler that sounds like a pissed off bumble-bee pulls up next to me at a stoplight, they'll always get beat. But when a nice turbocharged teg or something fast pulls up, they throw up a peace sign and say "meet me at the track". The pieces of the puzzle kinda fall into place if you think about it.

As far as the organized races go, I like to go and watch occasionally, but I don't participate. Simply because I don't want to lose my license again

ricers like to "beat me" off of stoplights because I'm a kid in a Honda. I was going through an intersection slow as ---- in 3rd and attempted going to 2nd, but I missed or something, and ended up just revving my engine at the nice civic next to me, he just laughed.

i got 50 hrs of community service, 500 dollar fine, 90 day license suspension and my insurance dropped me for stoplight racing. when they towed my car they fucked up my ground effects too, so i had to get my car repainted. i dont reccomend it to anyone. be smart. i wasnt. glad to say i won though. never squeeze in a public place.

I can't believe I just got a lecture about this crap. Nobody goes to those races anymore except the ricers and cholo's in buick regals with "go raiders" on the back window. It was fun to go, until TEAM APC started showing up. And if there are any cops trying to "scope the scene" from HMT, go ---- yourself. Police are good, but in here to learn how you can bust people? Fake *** Magnum PI

My Corolla doesn't sound like a pissed-off bumblebee, it idles like the engine was machined from billets of pure teflon and the exhaust sounds like it's gargling into a 5-gallon water bottle. Then, when I give it hell, it kinda buzzes, but not like a super-ricey buzz. And the intake noise is deafening cuz my throttle body is small and I have lots and lots of valves.

Ah street racing is fun, illegal and stupid all in the same patch.

hmmm... my first experience at these organized street races, me and my cousin were crusin through town, goin to the little spots down here lookin for one that was poppin. After about an hour of drivin to one spot to another, we finally found one. Everyone did the super cool parking diagonally backwards n stuff. And it was off the hook. For a good 25 minutes the races were poppin! Turbo's vs. NA, NA civic's vs Supercharged. It was great... until an altima raced a, I think it was either an eclipse or a mustang. And the altima ------' rammed into an innocent pick up passing by, cars got ------ totaled. On top of all that, the altima had a load full of people. I agree with all you folk, when you race, don't race with others. Well that's my story and my short exposure to the racing scene... the first 25 minutes of street racing, will also be my last.

Now I say take it to the track! Best way to go... it may be far, but hey the 10 dollars in gas spent is a whole lot better than getting *** raped in jail or something. Not to mention the grand you spend in fines, and impound and all that other ----.

I know that the scene won't stop, for now, but for those of you doin it, be ------ CAREFUL!!!

Man wait all these racers and suv gas guzzlers burn up all our fuel and we'll all have to drive electric vehicles, we make fun of people running 18's now but in the future when we have to all drive these EV's we'll be happy to hit low 25's
