linux does a lot less things than widows.

and any gui in linux uses a lot of resources, just like the windows gui does

the reason a base bones cli linux install uses less resources is because it doesnt have a gui

most people who hawk linux like its so ------- great and fast and doesnt take much to run dont have a ------- clue, most linux distros using a x windows gui hog resources and will run like ---- on slow computers just like winxp will.
