If you still cant connect to the router, try unplugging it from the wall for 30 seconds and plugging it back in (power cord)...Linksys is usually a very solid company, and what I use most of the time. Generally, all of the major networking companies suck major dick, and Linksys usually does it the least often

Not from what I've experienced and read. Seems like tons of people are having all kinds of problems with linksys.

a direct link is gonna be faster because with wireless the signal has to travel and it will lose strenght but not that bad, it shouldnt read low when you are close to it, i had a 8ft usb to usb with my adapter on the end and id still get good signal quality, but yea id say just hook a cat5 striaght to the modem ---- it....

You would think, but it doesn't seem that way. I have the adapter stuck to the wall like 6ft up and the antenna pointing out. Seems to work....for now. Just don't look at it or touch it.

So what you're trying to say is it's glitchy and a pain in the *** for non-webgeeks to use. :1

well kinda...there arent really any sweet companies that do consumer networking. there is no ultra reliable, ultra easy, etc company just a few companies that are medeocre at some things...in my book, linksys works the best, but who knows...others might find it more dificult...also for the user/pass field, try admin for both

NetGear seemed to work good for me. It came with software that included drivers which installed hassle free. My linksys adapter didn't come with ----. If I would have know that I would have bought NetGear.

Egay. Figures. Too bad I already left feedback. It just came in a package with no box, instructions, or details about anything.
