look it up.

gun deaths of all types are highest in places where gun control is the strictest.

i dont really know, i guess knowing if in fact a situation arises i can protect myself/others. trust me i dont pretend to be a tough guy and i avoid confrontations at all expenses but i would say if i had to i would pull the trigger because i know if i was in a situation where i needed to, it would be my only option.

its probably true but the catch is that the strictest gun laws are in the most dangerous areas.

I've got mine, because it's my god damned right. That's why. All of the things people who've never shot a gun before talk about are addressed in the class. Really, I only take mine when I have my family in public or when I'm in a bad area (rarely). The truth is, I understand I need to take an *** whipping before shooting someone, until my health is REALLY in question. Other than that, I have a "look at a member of my family wrong and I'll put you on blast" policy, which basically relieves them from any simple *** whipping they might have otherwise incurred.
Carrying a gun is usually done by those with a general interest in shooting. I can't see many people who don't generally like to shoot (a.k.a. they know how to use it) getting a carry permit. Pussies and utopians don't have to carry guns if they don't want, but just remember who has the ability to save your *** next time that freak boy starts shooting up the mall.

The REAL statistic anyone should be looking up is how many ccw holders have committed illegal discharges (hitting someone or not). Look that one up and get back to me. Slim/none.

I think most people who carry LEGALLY can rationalize and know the difference between a situation where they should OR shouldn't pull the weapon they are carrying.
