My longtime friend/mechanic bought one of these cars and its one of the stoutest around my area.Theres a total of 4 4g63t swapped colt/mirages around here and all are near sub 12 sec levels with over 115mph traps.Yea 1g dsms do weigh alot but with a minor diet it will be fine.My Tsi i'm estimating weighs roughly around 2400-2600 right now.I paid $100 for my shell and it had a few mods(fuel pump/shifter/weight savings)I say take it and start with a fresh motor.If you do it right its the best performance to dollar car.
