I log onto ncdmv.org and order a duplicate license mailed to my door for $10. Only good thing the government's ever done for me, that waiting in line ---- during daylight hours is stupid.

You'll probaly be what they call a PTF...part time flexible. You won't be guaranteed 40 hours for ----. My mom's been working for the PO for over 20 years now. She's a postmaster now, and makes good money. I've looked into that ---- myself, but not being guaranteed 40 hours to begin with kinda deterred me.

At least in this area you can get all the hours you want. There is a hiring freeze and although they aren't understaffed they need more people because nobody actually works. I worked as a casual and pulled at least 60 hours every week. My mom was also a Postmaster at the time which really helped me to get the job. If i wasn't going to go to school i would have gone to work for the USPS. My mom has no college degree and makes damn good money. If you are willing to work hard you can move up pretty quickly.

Yeah, things could be different in other areas...I never thought about that. If it wasn't for my mom having her job with the PO when I was growing up, I wouldn't have ate...
