I went to Dominican Last year. What resort are you stayin at?

The merchants in the towns are VERY pushy. My g/f and I were just walkin down the street and 3 local woman just ran up to us and started braiding things like her purse (yah I watched that area CAREFULLY), my hat, and her hair. The entire time we're like no, no no, stop we dont want that. and they kept going. When they were done the lady put out her hand and said "$20 American" I gave her my hat and said take the s&&t off and shes like, ok, $5 american, I said how bout $1. sold. lol.. but watch out for that kinda thing. and DONT DRINK TAP WATER. Also, get NO ICE in your drinks.

The local beer called "Presidenta" is ok. and the drinks are VERY strong, cuz Rye is cheaper then coca cola.

I think we are staying at Playa Darado or some ----...it 4 star and $850can. for flight and hotel....so it should be a good time, hopefully i don't get sick

Funny.I live in San Diego and we hear all the storys on the news of how under age white kids go down there,get ---- faced act stuped,start fights,and couse all kinds of disturbances over there then are on T.V crying about being in jail and how scared they are.You live to far to hear about the storys of how these kids go down there and get hopped up on extacy and rape girls.People go down there thinking its ok to act like a ------- idiot couse they are gopnna go right back to the states and they think no one will ever find out.

Repeat after me... NO GRACIAS... or these kids and everybody else will not leave you alone. I love the dominican. What part are you going to? Yeah def. dont drink the water, get bottled water, its real cheap there. If you drink, try Presidente and Brugal, presidente is the beer and Brugal is the liquor, both are very good and cheap as F. Also try the fruit, oranges are greenish yellow even tho they are ripe, and theyre really good, pineapple there is not even to be compared with the bs excuse for pineapple here, try it youll see what i mean. Also know what stuff is worth/what it costs, those peeps will try and rip you off all the time because they think you dont know waht stuff costs down there (and theyre usually right anyway, thats why the do it). I believe the dominican peso is $46-$1 american... it might have changed. Other than that all inclusive resorts are awesome, last time i went i paid $40 a day to drink and watch vacationing european women sunbathe topless... it doesnt get any better than that.

Also, if they come out with the top off, tell them you want one with the sealed cap. They'll take bottles of water that have been used, stick spicket water in the bottles, and try to pass it off as bottled water

Oh i almost forgot, if you can, find a clothing store and look for some nice *** dockers, you can get them brand new for $4 a pair or so because they are made on the island... so stock up... thats a deal
