it's made for water pipes, cause you can't really have lead in those. For electric stuff you want 60/40. I think that means 60% lead 40% tin. Get it from radio shack its cheap. And if you're doing circuit boards make sure you get the really thin stuff.

Yeah and its probably acid core too... you want flux core. Better get the flux core solder off the board before it damages it

I bought this stuff from radio shack actually. It was right beside the 60/40 stuff, I grabbed the wrong one thinking they were all the same. Got home and figured i'd give it a try.

i use 96/4 works fine if you have a good flux paste

I'll say this again for anyone. DO NOT inhale the fumes from solder. Its carcinogenic.
