lazy/crappy local shops vent !!
The last peice of my IC piping that is still PVC got messed up, so I took it out of the car and took the entire piece to 4 four IV different shops.
I basiclly need a a 14'' piece of 2 1/4'' pipe with a 90* bend at the bottom and a metal BOV flange welded to the pipe and they had the current peice as a templet !!!
Shop #1 tells me it is impossible to weld the BOV flange to a pipe and tells me its he can't do it !!
Shop#2 Didn't even look at it and says he's pipe bender is broke and he can't do anything for me.
Shop#3 Is a welding shop and tells me he needs the pipe, since he doesn't have any and the pipe I bring him needs to be 6Ft. long and he'll ONLY charge me $50 !!!
Shop #4 says, "Well, I can do it, but I really don't have time and I'm sure someone else can do it cheaper".
WTF !!! This is bullshit !!! Its a ------- straight pipe with one bend and a ------- flange welded on the side !! My Grandmother could do that ---- !!
These retards need to get cable so they can watch monster gararge or something !!!
I can build a complete turbo system using junkyad parts, JB weld, fiberglass, and zipties, but these ***** can't bend a pipe and weld it... Sad..
That's my vent...
Anyone else have any simular problems ?? National fabricators needed !!!! Screw PCs, air craft, or science jobs !!! We need people that can weld and use a freaking pipe bender !!!

They're just blowing you off. I can't say if they're ******** or what, but sometimes it's just not worth it to do small stuff for people. EXAMPLE:
A guy emails me and wants an oil line kit with custom this, at this length, for some turbo I've never even heard of. Could I do it, yes. Could I do it and put all of you guys on hold while I try to go the extra mile for this guy and after I put all of you on hold there will be another 10 kits ordered, which will always need to be shipped "the hour after I ordered it" ? No.
Maybe it's not right, but it's just the way it is. I'm just trying to give you an idea of maybe what happened.

If I had a pipe bender and a welder I could do it in 20 minutes easy, thats $60 per hour ( minus a $3 pipe ). And they could score a "future customer".

Don't forget the old saying, "When you lose one customer, you actually lose 10". Friends, family, hearsay, yada yada.
I see both points of view. I hate shops. That's why I stay away. If I can't fix it myself, I'll sell it. Example: I had a 89 Accord. The ------- head gasket blew and the carb was full of ----. I replaced the head gasket, timing belt, rebuilt the carb and couldn't get the bitch to run right for the life of me. I sold the pile of ----. 6 months later I baja'd that bitch in the desert, unloaded about 200 AK47 rounds, 100 .45 rounds, 40 12 gauge rounds, and various other calibers(.40, .357, 9mm). Don't ---- with me bitch.
We have one muffler shop here and they don't have a ------- mandrel bender. If you need a tight bend, you're fucked. They suck ***. One guy is cross-eyed like a mother ****** and he's a ********. I hate that ******.
I came back to get some warranty work for a leaky exhaust THE NEXT DAY AFTER THEY INSTALLED IT, and the cross-eyed ****** tried telling me I wasn't there the day before. I couldn't beleive it. He ------- welded my ----. He's the one who couldn't weld a complete circle around my muffler.
That was my vent. Who's next?

I understand. Sometimes when sales get crazy I get tunnel vision. I only have time to do the things I should and I won't stray away even if I'm gonna make stupid money for something simple. These are just my feelings, I don't know how they do it.

its a shame u guys dont live in seattle, my friend has a muffler shop and he hooks it up with some great prices...he'll do any thing as long as its not on a friday or saturday... cat or no cat he dont care
