its an alpine amp, i dunno the model #, and 2 10" Kenwood KFC-W2509's. JVC El Kameleon head unit. Rockford Fosgate wiring. and dx 101's mom as the road head engineer. i went to best buy today and got their labor prices and they are straight. i mean, it shouldn't take them long to find out the problem since they deal with this kind of ---- everyday. only because i have basically givin up. i've replaced everything, did all the suggestions, and i still have no ------ clue

**** when problem is resolved, focker

Have you checked/adjusted the levels out of the deck itself?

Unfamiliar with JVC's, but sometimes sub rca settings are zeroed out when the deck is disc. from the battery.

Sounds simple, but sometimes thats the most overlooked aspect of a problem.

Where did you get the amp? Find a local stero shop (no not best buy) a real stero shop. They will usally test it for free (since they have them hooked up for demos, they will just plug it in).

If the amp is fine you know it's in your subs or wiring. I had a problem some what like this before. Turned out that my remote wire had touched a ground somehow and fried part of the head unit.

i got the amp from my boy and he said ti worked. but i installed my old amp and the problem was still there. and i know my old amp works bc it works 5 minutes before i took it out.

i was ------- with it earlier and when i unhooked the ground from the amp and touched it back i heard a sound from the subs, not like a bad sound, but it sounded like it turned on, ya know? so i guess they work.

and my radio doesnt have like a sub on/off switch or button.

Not a switch, in your sound settingsmenu there should be an adjustment for the Sub RCA outs...well, if the JVC even has sub rca's.
