My friend has a kill switch hooked up to his brights but the only thing is if someone wants his car bad enough they can tell he flashes the brights everytime he starts his car

Last 2 are really good ideas, but might "accidentally" figured out if you know what I mean.

i say why worry about fuel kills when you should be more worried about not letting them into your car. best idea is to get a second battery and wire it to your alarm so if they do pop the hood and undo the battery the second one will keep it on. also use hood pins and air horns along with the siren. do everything to make them scared to get in it and then you wont have to worry about fuel cuts and what not.

Actually what i did for my friend's car was unhook his cig. lighter (cause he doesn't smoke anyway, and he already had a 12v. accessory socket) and wire it to a couple of relays into his main relay. In order to start the car you take the cig. lighter and push it into the socket all the way like you were trying to heat it up, then turn the key. Or you could go a step further and make it so that it only clicks over the relays at a certain resitance value, such as a "specialty" lighter with the resitance to match. Carry the lighter with you if ya want, and it's almost like having a second key. Like someone else said before...sometimes the most unlikely places are the best.
