kill story and a vac leak problem
i finally got my first race since my crx got it's turbo.
it was a friend of mine with an MR2 250whp that runs a low 8 in the 8th mile
we did a freeway run from 60ish by the time i got into 4th gear i was quite a few cars ahead of him.
we did 4 runs, on the last one i just dropped 4th and he pulled about a fender from me then i flew past him.
i need to get a video for you nogs. i'd take it to the track, but i have blown out shocks wrapped in ebay coilovers and crappy tires. so 1-2nd gear is nothing but spin.
i've been having a problem with my charge pipes blowing off so i took them off today and flared out the ends. they held fine for the races so that was good.
however i do have a vac leak. when i'm at idle the rpms bounce from 500-1500 over and over.
is there a hmt way to find the leak?
if i had a boost leak in my charge pipes would that cause a vac leak? or is it like a normal n/a vac leak?
just wanted to post this for you nogs.

Re: kill story and a vac leak problem
I have a similar problem with my sol right now. Try the iacv first, and look over all your vacuum lines for cracks, decay, std's, ect. I ziptie all my vacuum lines on just for peace of mind. In my case, I also suspect an electrical problem in the weird idle, as the previous owner relocated the battery and did the engine swap, and he was a retard. So when I have time, I'm going to clean the iacv, go over my ground wires, and probably add a few more for good measure. I expect that to fix my idle. Give it a whirl
