Just got a 1990 crx hf, my plans for a street legal drag car, help needed also
hey, i just picked up a 1990 crx hf with no motor, trans, ecu, basicly just the shell, i traded some parts for it, a friend didnt want it, it had just been siting and him being in school he dosent have time to work on it. so i got it, planing on making it a weekend and track car, for drag, but also street legal, i was planing on puting a roll cage in it, and stripping hte interor, its gloss black, needs a windsheild, drive side back window, bumper suport, hood, tail lights and a few little misc things, so if anyone has any of these please tell me, but i was wondering what kind and size of pipe i should use for the roll cage? any pics of them in a crx, where i need to make it go, also do i need any type of harness or is a stock seat and stock belt ok. what on a crx can i take off besides interior, ac and ps that will make it lighter but still drivable, and what rules and what not are there for a car that will hopfuly be low 11's or so, also any parts or sugestions would be helpfull in helping me build it. im planing on a built 2.0 ls/vtec turbo, not sure on turbo yet but i will figure that out. also what suspention is best in a crx, i want coilovers because im gona use drag slicks, and is a integra full disk brake conversion, and swaybars better ? thanks for looking, ill post picks when i trailer it over here, and i know u might think its a hunk, but actualy its in farly good condition, no rust, fresh paint, just no motor and a few parts missing. thanks for looking and give me some input, i know im not good with sentances and spelling so dont make fun of me. -blake

nhra spec for rollbar is 1.75"x.120wall round tube.
and i dont think ive ever seen a CRX have AC. You can see all the regulations for cages at nhra.com, or order a rulebook.
