You would also loose a ton of power, driveablility, and make it not worth it to be boosted, I want to know how he tuned his uberdata by just the plugs and than goes to say he watched the air/fuel ratio without a wideband. Plus without a burner.

And ignorant unexperienced riceboys think AFRs have something to do with power. There is typically a 3% variance in power across the run-able AFR range, from so lean you are breaking up to so rich you misfire. Two degrees of ignition timing means more. So, you are arguing about NOTHING. Drop it.
Tuning without a wideband is not impossilbe. Logging acceleration over time, with an eye to gearing, vehicle weight, and Cd, gives a close plot of motive force. From this we can deduce air mass entering the engine, and therefore the required amount of fuel in terms of injector pulsewidth for our desired AFR. But, I never did any of that back in the day. The UD guinnea pig was predominantly tuned by the plugs, and driveability. By the time the ZC was superceded by the Z6, we had an actual EGT gauge like OMG WTF. It was running 14 psi on stock Z6, daily, by the time I got my first wideband. Atlee never strolled it over to be retuned as he was working two jobs at that point... but I'd hear stories of him laying waste to LS1, ricerockets, and once a GN, on his commutes to and from work and home. That ---- lasted a little over half a year of a 19 y/old kid standing on it daily before #2 ringland became a hater.
