Actually, I do believe JDM cars can be legal in the US. Really the main thing is you have to bring it to US safety standards. I also heard from someone or someplace that you could register a JDM as a kit car in Nevada It sounds feasible to me. Also I know for a fact that JDM cars could be register in the US legally because I know you guys have heard of that one shop, I think in Cali somewhere, that import Skylines and bring it up to US standards and sell it. Yep yep it can and has been done. I also saw some dude crusin' in a skyline with real cali plates, and not them dealer plates, regular ones that wes all rollin in. Either he has it Legal or he has fake ones. Which would be stupid, cause what if something was to happen, you're assed out of a hella nice car and you will owe $$$...

Oh for some reason that place that converts JDM cars to US standards, for some reason Signal comes to mind. Are they the ones? Someone help me on this.

Oh and btw, jeff if you do grab yourself a JDM rex, get a GLASS TOP!!! Those are soooooooooooo dope. Some site had one for sale, but it's one that you could never title, basically an off-road car. ...or maybe you can, cause I just remembered that there is a form that you could fill out for registering a car that the DMV doesn't have any record of. Hmmm... but then again you have to be able to show some proof of ownership. Well either way GLASS TOP!!!

And with the glass top you could see which bird shitted on your car and shoot it.

the main things about importing a JDM car are...

1. They don't pass the 5mph bumper test.
2. They probably dont pass emmision laws.
3. The headlight beams point incorrectly (rhumor)
4. Our cars are LHD for a reason, cuz we drive on the right hand side of the road. a LHD gives us the ability to turn left in an intersections while still being able to see around cars that are turning left coming the opposite way.

yeah right, like it wouldn't be boosted IMO you should do it, it will be a pain in the *** to get it registered (something i'm not willing to do or i would have a dc2 teg), whatever floats your boat

I think considering safety features the USDM crx is the same as the JDM one.
It should be possible to import a USDM counter part fomr Japan. Because it's the same car except for the right side driver and maybe some smog stuff.
