Im a sucker for cherokees. Clean simple looks, and they are tough as hell for a cheap little truck imho. If youre looking for something thats more "age appropriate" then get a 97+ so you get the nicer dash/grill/etc. Even the newer ones are cheap now.

get a jeep, i love my 88 2dr laredo....****** can get out of almost everything, except 3.5' of snow....------ mud tires! I have 4.5" lift on 32's....best part is i got it like it is for $1700

my car dealer friend barrowed me a huge mitsubishi thing, think it was a 98-00ish trooper? it had a 3.5L i think, thing hauled for its size and i liked it, not sure if its crap to own or not but it was nice to drive, and ive drove a few jeeps. they feel clunky and heavy for there size kinda i thought


the trooper might be worth lookin into actually, they seem to deprciate pretty well and from what i read there a good value because they just are not that popular. they have a sort of land rover look to them too, not sure about reliablilty but a quik craiglist search showed me a few in good condition 96+ for under 3k

They are all v8 except the FX35 but the output is similar

if i could find the jeep from the goonies opening scene i would buy it in a second, would also pay more if the fratelis were in the car....goonies never say die...lol
