Jeep 4.0(bought it!)(56k go away)
Remember the thread i posted about the jeep a while back? well i bought it the day i bought that racing kart and am currently getting it on the road. High mileage, as you can see, but in perfect condition. Look through all the pics, got a ? at the bottom.
heres one ?. What to do about exhaust? the cat and the muffler are completely eroded away so i need to replace it. but still needs to pass inspection.
another ?. What are these lines coming in and out of the intake and do i need them if i put another intake such as this on:

Thanks in advance. just for kicks this is what ive been working on the cars on. my pops just got new ramps for his big rig and i use them on the ground. they are adjustable and can lift another foot off the ground if need be.
and just for kicks this is the purebred english bulldog pup my parents bought today. her name is coors and shes 10 weeks old
thanks

That cat and muffler look fine to me... fix the leak with some aluminum exhaust tape for inspection
Then once thats done just rip it off and build a 3" side exit out infront of the rear tire, throw a muffler on there if you have to
I dont see why you dont think it wont bass inspec
About those intake lines, those are PCV lines are they not?

That dog is awesome!
Oh, the Jeep is cool, too. :P I hope I get that many miles out of my Jeep. Are you planning on building the engine or something? I wouldn't touch the intake. With that many miles you better not even look at the engine. :P

Jeep is too bad..I'm not a jeep or a truck person but if your happy and feel you got a deal on it than that's what counts. I like the adjustability on the jacks but I like then with the platform at the end instead of just parking it on an incline like that.

nice jeep! looks to be in decent shape. the annoying exhaust rattling is a common problem with cherokees, i just redid my whole exhaust when i got mine. as far as the intake goes, the hose closest to the engine is a vent for the valve cover which i replaced with a small cone filter, and the one on the right just goes to a emissions canister looking thing, so i just left it open to the air...
heres a pic of the engine bay of my cherokee:
