Since the cable LSD B16 trans come equipped with the JDM GSR LSD, I'm going to have to say you're completely and totally wrong. Those things are fragile pieces of ----. Plus, taking into account how old and beat down any JDM-sat-in-a-boat-submerged-in-saltwater cable trans is at this point... you're going to have problems finding one without grinds or whines to stick an OBX into.

Well ---- me sideways, I have no clue how things work in the US then. Over here a JDM SIR tranny with LSD will go between 700-1000 easily. If this is the case then find me some SIR tranny's for $400 US and I'll come down there do a tranny swap sell my 98 GSR tranny and come back to canada at least 100 bux richer.

I prefer trans that grind already. The chance of scoring a 15+year old cable trans that doesnt grind up top into 3rd is well about has realistic has jesus saving all of us. Enjoy the grind and it wont let you down. Hell it was hard enough to find unraped cable trans 5+years ago nothing hasnt changed.

Pretty much. The fact that $100 is worth your effort to do all that work and travel inarguably demonstrates that Canada is, in fact, a third world country.

PS - I have seven cable trans on hand, only one of them doesn't grind, and people go out of their way to give me perfectly good ---- in an attempt to impress me.
