Japanese Jetpak, Turbine Boat, and an f14 vid... notice a theme here?? *edit*

My dad showed this to me last night and I thought it was pretty funny. The best part is when they throw out the little life ring, and figure he will go about 10 feet or so:

ever see myt busters, that first japanese video is fake.

that boat didnt even look very fast either.

Is that jetpack video real? It seems like the pack would be so unstable that it would be near impossible for the thrust so be pointing down the whole time. You would think it would go all squirrely.

yea it was done on myth buster. they had a bitch doing it, she backed out and they use a doll/dummy.

those vids are pretty cool. I dont think the first guy flew that far off some pressureized 2 liter bottles. could be a camera trick

Yeah i saw that myth buster, its most likely a camera trick, but i still think its pretty funny

and as for the boat it may not be fast, but you cant tell me that having a turbine and putting up a 20 foot high rooster tail isnt cool
