Everybody has a story about fighting a ticket.. and I fully agree that it should be fought. Hell, I fought a 30mph ticket in Maryland... was doing 95mpg on i95... who would have knew the speed limit is 65mph on the interstate, but oh well. I took it to court and the judge dropped it to 9mph over and only a $150 fine vs. the suspension and 5-7 pts + $270 fine. Always fight!

Definately get all of your extensions first, then fight it. 4 mph is nothing, you could go to court and all you have to do is give a statement on the inaccuracy of radar. Or in the case of "pacing" give reasons why his speedometer could be off. (Tire pressure is a classic).

Basically, IF he shows up, he will have to prove that none of these things could have possibly effected his radar/speedometer, and there are a million of them. Get your extensions first and give him time to forget about it.

Here in Ca. you have the right to ask that your hearing be at the "COUNTY SEAT." Ask before he goes back to write the ticket. Tell him you work closer to the county seat (usually the main court in the county) and he cannot deny you this. The great part is that the police can never justify driving so far to fight one ticket. In the same amount of time they could write 5 tickets that won't be contested.
If I know anything, it's how to get out of tickets. It won't always work to your advantage, but I'm 3-1 in the traffic system

Anyways, you should always fight your tickets, as long as it's worth your time. Whether it is is up to you, but look at this way... they can't increase your fine, so you have nothing to lose!

yeah get all your extensions u can..thats what im doing right now...tomarrow im calling in to get a second extension...hehehehe....this way the cop cant really remember a thing about it...last time this happened to me the cop just kept saying " i dont know...i cant remember " and i won!!...hehe

i know in pa township cops can omly use stop watches to catch speeders they don't use radar so fight it if its the same in your state because if he used stop watch he could have flinched and cause you to ;ook like your going faster or slower then you were

Well, I go to school in Ohio (I'm only 10 minutes from the state line), and it was in Ohio, 100 ft. from the line (dammit). Oh well, screw it. I'm just gonna pay it. $113 is less that what it would cost me to take a day off of work to pay it.

The cops here are more sneaky then anywhere else in the world.
They hide behind bushes where the speedlimit changes from like 45 to 30..You don't get even a chance to slow down and BAMMM you get flashed...Here they don't use radar gun and then go after you and give you a ticket... they have this camera with combined with some radar or laser gun whatever it is that measures yor speed and it automatically takes your cars pic from the back of your license plate. After a few weeks they you get a bill send to you....------- cops. They to this here when the state or the county needs money and for every ticket they get a bonus on there salary. I saw on TV once about 1-2 years ago where a reporter was askgin the police how it went the past year. I just couldn't believe my ears...here is some quote's.
police:Crime went down more than 12% accidents went up by a few tenth's of a %.
There was less speeding the pas year..
reporter: So it was a good year!?....more people obey the law.
police: Are you kidding me...it was a bad year last year we got more then 160 million euro's in speeding tickets and this year it went down by 20%(it was a bit more).

That's why i don't have almost no respect for a cop here that just sits down on his lazy *** in the car with that ------- camera up front. If I weren't such a good guy and see one..I would stop go up to him pick up the camera and smash that thing in his windshield or do a drive buy..that would let them think twice if they wanna do that kind of job again.Here the police is just another part of the economic industrie. And that's what I hate.....I was thinking on driving around with pipe bombs and blow all those mobile camera's and those totem pole camera's that WWEE pay for ...and they are so damnn expensive...spending our money on things we don't want...What kind of government is that...Did it help with reducing accidents?? Nooooooo I see more accidents every week.
And they want to ban radar/laser detectors here to..the laser scrambler is already banned....I'm getting sooo pissed.
I'm gonna stop before I'm really going out and hack uo some camera's

I got pulled over too, last saturday night at like 4 in the morning when i was driving my drunkass friends home. Luckily the cop likes me... This was the sixth time the same cop had pulled me over. Everytime he lets me go! Sorry though that you wern't that lucky... I would have let you go!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thanks Princess :-) The worst part is, I'm tight with most PA state cops (my ex-gf's dad was one, only he retired, and my best friend is marrying a cops daughter). They let me go a bunch of time. Ohio just sucks my *****.
