Default Its called.... the "Trailer Park B16" lol...

So, I have been really lazy the past few weeks after this motor/turbo setup I did for this kid awhile back. The exchange was 1 dead ZC, and a Good running B16 for all my labor. Well, it didnt work out that way, and I ended up getting 2 Dead ZC's, and 1 half *** B16.

Alot of you know I've been working on a homemade ITB setup, that was originally planned for this B16a motor that I got. The deal got sour when I took the head off and found that water had gotten into the engine and rusted out the cylinders really really bad. I tried honeing the living ---- out of it, but there were some really bad pits in the walls.

Today was so so slow at work I figured I better make due with some of this ---- laying around. And attempt the "trailer park b16"

So, I honed the living ---- out of this motor, not just a little bit.. but alot! I just kept trying and trying to get these pits out of the walls, but it wasnt happening, so I said ---- it. Cleaned up the pistons real nice, got a set of napa rings and threw this bitch together. I measured ring end gap for ***** and giggles, and it was over service limit... Bore taper? don't even wanna go there

So now, that its a practically honed out 1.7L B16 w/ normal 81mmm pistons I'm really curious on how much this thing is going to smoke. Or how much piston slap noise its going to make.

Oh yes... Jeff's pet peeve, never to re-use a headgasket after its been torqued and been through a heat cycle.

Nothing a little K&W Copper spray cant handle! haha, I've never been a big fan of doing this at all. I never re-use head gasket. But guys at my work re-use them, and ---- beau has reused his b16 several times.

And after about 2 hours of looking through all my bullshit, I finally found my "el negro cast iron grey" paint to paint the block up.

Hey, it may not run good.. but it looks good! lol

My 30 dollar ebay special velocity stacks..

Specs

JDM Trailerpark 1g B16a honed over
Pitted Cylinder walls
Pitted Valve seats
New Rings
GSR Cams
Some cleaned up exhaust ports
45mm GSXR Custom Throttle Bodies
Seals/Gaskets are all stock OE JDM shiet
"El Negro Cast Iron Grey"
Gold Blinging Valve cover

Oh, its the automatic B16a 1g so it has all the good valvetrain to rev to 10k.

More than likly will be sporting TurboEdit to tune this thing if JP ever sends me that ecu :P

heres one of those dead zc's in the shop

Oh, and heres another one... ugh!

This is what happens when a ZC holds together w/ a 125shot of Dry Nitrous. Hello Ringlands..... wait.. they are gone

Btw, these pieces of ---- are for sale, or I can rebuild them and then sell them.

And so whatever happened to that built Ls/vtec? heh, it sits in the shop too, took the head back off and still trying to decided what type of valve train I'm going to go with. Someday it will be done.

Enjoy,

Jeff

Lol
There you go jeff just reuse everything.....
A lot of the times when people go about rebuilding a engine like that the engine works like a charm....hopi it makes some big NA power for ja...with a 1.7L displacement it is a plus

You can always slap that B16 onto ebay and say that it was bored out to a 1.7L and name it "AbaZ" but you have to slap a nice sticker on it or make some nice engraving on it... Then in the footnote stating: if the engine smokes, its just because it needs to be broken down a bit and if it makes some clunking noise, thats ALL MOTOR FOR YOU!

haha

Nice pics though. You gotta love that nice golden valve cover! =) Much props to the Trailer Park B16...

reusing the head gasket? I guess it wouldn't hurt and you have nothing to loose. but I wanted an excuese to use the hammer. so here it isand thats for reusing the headgasket.
