You are all right, whoever is paying the most taxes is really irrelevant. I sat down with my last pay stub from last year and crunched some #'s. Last year I grossed $32K. I brought home $25K. $4K went to income tax, $400 went to medicare, $1300 went to state taxes, and my own insurance expenses etc. etc. came to $1,200. I got took for $4K of my hard earned money and I don't recall getting ANY type of service or help from the federal gov't whatsoever. If anybody has some similiar #'s they would like to compare that would be cool, so we can all get a good idea of how bad we're getting FUCKED, OR not....
how could the top 5% of people pay 53% of income tax... but pay less in actual dollars? :1

yea you didn't get any type of service for it, lots of worthless people did. thank the democrats and lots of republicans

BTW, CollegeHumor sometimes has pretty funny "The Graphic Truth" with made up graphs, kinda reminding me of that on a lesser more HMT style scale, still very humorous, ha.

Side note, from breifly glimpsing at Johnny's remarks, he's correct that the more you make the more you get taxed. So not only are the more rich people paying more money, they're paying a higher PERCENTAGE than lesser income individuals.
