intercooler diameters

Default intercooler diameters

found an intercooler with 40mm intake and outake diameter?? is this ok for a 5-8psi home made turbo set up? This is for a CRX 1.6i

It really depends alot of the internals of the core, and how thick they are, and how much of a pressure drop. Honestly, if you have found one cheap and it looks good, go ahead and try it.

ok no prob cheers for the advice
was just wondering if there is a general rule to follow as such. I'll pick up a few next time i see some and just do a bit of trial and error. Do you rate oil coolers much on honda's A guy i know over here says he used to race them and he got alot of BHP from adjusting valves and cooling the oil.... Mmmmm
I have a water based oil cooler and an air based, was thinking of attaching both if I gotta do an oil return to for the turbo conversion. Only problem i can see is on daily drving I may have to leave the car a bit longer to warm up before thrashing but should rev higher less painfully in theory
