*****, you gotta be kiddin' me...Your *** JUST got outta jail, and you're ALREADY lookin' 4 a way 2 go back In the state of GA the authorities can run your tag and their database knows whether or not you have insurance...If your insurances lapses or gets canceled for any reason, your license AUTOMATICALLY gets suspended until you can show proof that you once again have coverage...I hate payin' car insurance, I think it's one of the biggest, most crooked rackets out there, BUT drivin' without insurance is DEFINITELY 4 ------' losers...

1 DUI, a negligent driving 2nd degree and 3 speeding tickets. so with that my insurance is kinda spendy, i'm a safe driver but just don't pay attention to my speed when on the highway till its too late

Somehow I doubt that. So if my car breaks and it's going to be down for awhile and I cancel my insurance they are going to suspend my license so I couldn't even drive anyone else's car that would be insured? Jorsher is from GA want to chime in?

i was just in that situation, they dont suspend your license, they just take the tag or request you mail it off. at least in NC.

Yeah, I was tryin' to make that point at work the other day, I imagine if you canceled the insurance under THOSE circumstance you would have to send in the tag, BUT I do know ppl whose license has been suspended because of the fact they let their insurance lapse....EVERYBODY here would PITCH A BITCH if their car got creamed by some ASSHAT w/o car insurance and they had to fit the bill to get it fixed themselves...Why would you take the chance of doing that to some1 else simply because your *** is 2 sorry to come up with insurance premiums like EVERY1 ELSE has to...UNINSURED DRIVER FTMFL!!!
