Don't ---- on people that wear gloves. Do enough electrical and especially hvac and you'll want a new set of hands, even with gloves. Duct work is hell on the hands, the metal tape is the worst of all. That ---- will cut you if you look at it funny.

Jizzmeister, stop watching trading spaces. Red was trendy and out when the first person did it. I can't stand customers who think they're going to paint red everywhere because they saw it on TV. Yours looks fine, I'm just overall ranting about red ----.
I like the stone tile in the kitchen/bathrooms with darker color hard wood floors everywhere else. On the other hand carpet feels hella good, I get tired of wearing my shoes at all times.

I hate installing laminate, it breaks too easily
Why are you breaking laminate? It clicks into place and all you need to do is tap it a few times with a rubber mallet. Hardwood floor can be a huge pain in the *** if the boards are slightly bowed or warped. Is all of your experience with oak and pine? We did Kempas in our house. Jesus Christ is that stuff hard. We drilled pilot holes and tried to drive in 8d nails and they'd bend(first and last rows as you couldn't exactly use the pneumatic nailer at those points). It was such a pain in the *** to get that stuff to line up properly. Took some serious ingenuity to get things to install correctly.

Lol, I was thinking the same thing. That room looks straight out of HGTV.

I hear that. Put maple in a house and everything was done in 45deg angles to the walls. Hard to get the facenails in withoutbending them and marking the prefinished face. Plus wood naturally bends and warps so it's hard to get to fit correctly, especially because they're never exactly the same width. Nightmare but looks ------ amaizing now, wouldn't hesitate to do it again.
