Installed KYB AGX's today
Well, I have been riding around on blown stock shocks for too damn long so I finally decided to shell out the dough for some new shocks. I decided to go with the AGX's because I liked the idea of adjustability and they are probably the cheapest adjustables around. I found an awesome deal on egay, I got all 4 for $305, they are usually around $85 each, so that was good. Well, the project started yesterday, but wouldn't you know it, I broke a damn bolt off in one of the rear shocks, tried to drill itout to no avail, so I had to take my whole lower control arm to the machine shop to get it fixed, they only charged me $5. SO I finished the install today after work and I think I am quite pleased. I have them set on #4 for now, I'll see how I like the ride then adjust them later. I was kinda bummed to see that the rear shocks for my civic didn't have the little adjustable **** on the bottom, its in the top of the shock like in front, but oh well. Anyone else running these? I also have Tanabe Super Down Precedeo springs. Feels like a good setup, but we'll see when I go road carving.

Haha, I rode on blown stock shocks forever. I always wanted to buy some KYB's or Toxico's, but there was always a motor/turbo part I wanted more. I'm curious to see how they handle for you. I think I looked at that same auction on egay, but passed it up.

You want pics of the shocks or how the car sits? Or both. I went out tonight in my other car and I was parked behind my Civic and you could see the very bottom of the shocks with the headlights on. 2 little red shackles underneath the car. I'm sure they won't be that bright red for long. I'll get some pics tomorrow.

Here's a couple pics I shot in the dark:
Don't bust on my Pilot Motorsports Rear lower tie bar. I bought that ---- on egay like 4 years ago. I've been meaning to take the damn sticker off but I never get around to it.

HAHAHAHAH.. i broke both my rear bolts off.. i'm using the AGX's too on my teg. they're damn stiff, even on the softest setting.. for mine though, i ended up using a die grinder to cut the old shocks off and since the bushings were rusted solid, i used a torch to burn them out, then i went to the race shop and found some pieces of UHMW polyethylene and a 10mm ID stainless tube and made new bushings. slapped new bolts on and it was good to go.. did you make sure to coat those bolts with anti-seize before you put them back together? makes it a helluva lot easier should you ever have to take them apart again....
i actually really like them though. some of the roads around here are kind of ripply, so the car bucks on some of them, but on the softest setting, it's bearable.. i think i got the same deal as you.. it was like $305 for all 4.
