Re: Is Inquisition a ***** licker?
You guys were both arguing about significant figures and no more then .5 of a volt.
You seem to have won the argument JD, but seriously, all i read was some kind of gay pissing contest. Where the winner was the guy with the best quality voltmeter.
American's should convert to SI units, imperial units are such a headfuck.

Ah come on JD, I don't try to be smarter, I get the facts out there and have a discussion/debate with research and all that ----. Also you have to make it fun with the occasional bashing.
Inquisition's assertions are lame. He jumps around from topic to topic because he realizes that he messed up with the previous comment. First he calls you a liar and then tries to say that he means it was because you claimed X amount of significant digits. Then he goes on trying to explain the ecu corrections which has no relavence at all to the subject at hand.
Most of his arguments come from cut and paste on different forums that he has been to. I mean like:

Also to everyone else. JD never tried to convey anything about significant figures. He simply stated that it is dangerous to assume a MAP sensor limit, reguardless of actual output. If you assume a limit of X.xx psi and the mcu never sees that value after conversion and loss, code, etc, then you will never have a safe boost cut feature.
Also , you can get 5V out of any 5V sensor. Just raise the reference voltage until the output gets to 5V. Most sensors have a voltage drop, just by the nature of semiconductors.
If anyone wants, I'll prove it with HP and Agilent (speaks for itself) test equipment.
