I agree here ^^ When Im pulled over I always keep inside the car with the lights turned on and hands on the wheel. I only move when instructed and tell the officer where Im going to reach before I reach there...I know that may be extreme, but they do have a loaded gun on them.

Chickenshit written laws like that are well, chickenshit. What is the Definition of Excessive or Unusual Noise well without a db meter you leave that up to individual interpretation, which in court of law holds water as good as a speghetti strainer. It also makes officers do something they are told not to do from day one of academy... YOU ARE NOT THERE TO INTERPRET LAW, BUT ENFORCE IT

^^^ I sure as hell never want a 4 year Crim/J Degree equiped police officer interpreting the rules of my local swimming pool, let alone the Local and state administrative codes. That is what elected judges are for. But since we all like adding assinine unenforcable laws, we put more and more decisions in the people who shouldnt be making them.

So lets say we arm our officers with man portable certified Db meters, then add the manpower hours to certify the officers in the equipment. $$$$$ get sucked up from budgets man portable Db meters that are accurate enough to stand in court are about as expensive as Ka narrow band rader/laser (dont get me started on the Bullshit envolved in speed enforcement). This strains already thin Police budgets, and prevents new officers from being hired and enforcing laws like say ummmm... Murder and Grand theft Auto.

Now Im never one to bitch without having an idea up my sleve...so here is my solution to a bitch *** problem. Take traffic enforcement 100% out of the hands of Local/County police. Create a seperate court/enforcement agency for traffic alone that answers to the department of transit.

Keep our officers on actual crime patrols instead of retarded speeding/exhaust stops. Now you might say "But the cops typically make most felony arrests at traffic stops" Well just what exactly does that say about their abilities to actually deture and stop crime, if they can only catch the crooks with broken taillights and expired tabs?

Im sorry for adding to the rant, but I get really pissed off on the subject
