Default Importing Cars.....

What's the general process of importing a car from japan? How much trouble is it? How much does it cost?

Nope. But it didn't have a huge wing or tight graphics, which both obviously increase horsepower and aerodynamicy, so therefore it is slow and lost :P

there is a huge expense in making it street legal, on top of importing it. you can save some money if the car is considered a collector, i think it varies from state to state tho.

my roomate mentioned importing an eg6 for track use only, i don't know how much he looked into it tho.

If you want to import a car, plan on 15,000 bucks in fees, legalization taxes, etc. that dont include the price of the car or the shipping costs either. Normally your lookin at around 25 to 30,000 bucks depending on the car. You should look for one in Canada though, they import alot cheaper there than here, i dont know what you have to do though to get it into the states, but I know of some places you can get cars for like 9,000 to 20,000 bucks with fees paid.

Thanks, I'll look into it, not that I'm going to soon, but maybe when I can afford too....
