I have an appointment with the insurance adjuster the 5th, to check my car. I have an estimate for $1800, but using replacement parts and not replacing my trunk, bondo fix in it, I don't want that. My exhaust bent, the body shop guy was like, well so you need a new muffler right?

I was like noooo, I tried to exlain to him how this is an engineered for performance catback exhaust and it is a one piece of tubing. I of course exagerated a little.

He said well you can weld a new muffler in........

I was like no, it is stainless steel, and one piece, and almost $700, I really just paid $350, but it's worth more. I don't want a bid ugly rusty weld down there. He told me good luck with it, like the insurance won't pay for it. I'm still pissed off. I hope they pay for it all.

go get more than one estimate. when i got in my wreck a LONG time ago, i had to get 3 estimates, then my adjuster averaged them all out, and give me that. i dont know how it works for you....

yeah dude, just don't be a push over with the insurance, of course they'll try to tell you where to go, or that it's cheaper with so and so parts, tell them ---- no! they have to use brand new oem parts if that's what you say you want. my friend just wrecked her is300 (well, someone wrecked in to her) just like your situation, and of course the guys insurance tried to tell her where to take it and how much it would be, and she said ---- you, i'm getting brand new oem parts and repaint the whole car if there's the slightest bit of color that doesn't match, and they agreed.

Yeah, i'm planning on going to a few more places, and use the higher ones to show the adjuster. Tomorrow is my last day of work , where I am right now, so I'm planning on getting out of here early and going to a few more places.

I start my new job monday, it's a good thing, but my car is all fucked up, and my stupid cell phone broke, this would be the 3rd motorola v220 they send me, I want a different phone, they don't want to do anything .

There's worst situations, so I'm not complaining about life and ----, but it still sucks ***.
