Totally upgradeable with a full bottle of nitrous oxide(for round 2) as shown here. First round leaf-blower for the win.
Mount it through a hole in hood, have a crew-member start her up during burnout, choke cable re-routed to throttle on blower, intake of blower pointed down track(ram air). You may even be able to take the blower apart and mod it to create more pressure. There's gotta be someone out there who knows how to do that...
Round2: NO2 bottle mounted in passenger footwell. Line routed to inlet on blower. Slightly bigger injectors and timing retard. Crack bottle open and RACE.

my god...
shaving down the heads is not practical HP within our time limitations. It takes at least a day to drive to a machine shop, drop off the heads, have them machined, bring them back etc. We have 4 hours!

Not to mention shaving the head/block would throw off timing due to it being DOHC. Search svtperformance.com and corral.net as well as modulardepot.com for research on parts for the Cobra. The 98 Cobra's are actually better than the other SN95 Cobra's.

im not allowed to discuss the outcome of the race, but im back home. Interesting competition, lots of sandbagging. If you didnt cheat, you didnt win. We had an awesome time in little rock arkanas though... makes me wanna move out there. Everyone was so ------- nice, you wont find anyone like that in jersey! Our bartender at this one bar even hooked us up with some free smoke 
A big thanks to JM assoicates for paying for my great vacation. I can let out a little bit... theres a civic with a b18c in the competition. Thats what i would have brought
