Default IM getting out

Yeah im geting out of all this crap for the time being my financial situation is crumbling so i need to move fast. I have a 1992 Integra LS, 2 dr 5 spd with 177k on the ticker and only 60k on the engine the engine was swapped by a certified honda tech here in central florida. It was his daily driver. I jumped into it this morning and for some reason it wouldnt turn over. i have no idea why.when i turn the key from acc to on it does all the usual stuff a car would do when starting. but then i put the clutch in to actually start in adn then it wont turn over. all the lights come on and everything so its not the battery. ill check again to see if i can hear the solenoids clicking and ---- but other then that i think its the starter. How do you test the starter to see if its good? if it is the starter then im going to go get one today and fix it. once its running it will be up for sale. ANyone have any other ideas?

Check the resistance on the power wire to the starter
Try simply jumping a 12v to the starter solenoid
Check the connectors on the starter

That is all that I can think of

hey if somone picks it up for 1500 as is then ill throw in a 1g gst turbo kit for free. i dont give a damn i need the cash. The integra is in good shape. no accidents nothing wrong with the interior. the rear seat is removed. it has front and rear strut tie bars and a lower rear tie bar and an exhaust. i think its 2 inches. it has a manual sunroof. and no head liner. i had to remove it was chewed up. other then that it needs a fresh coat of paint and the hood is black. it also has '96 ls rims on it. i also have a bseries clutch and pressure plate for a ys1 that i bought from lsd motor sports for a project a long time ago that i never used ill throw that in and any extra ---- i have

Try checking the clutch switch. On my civ if you push the clutch too far down, it doesn't start. You have to hold it in exactly the right position. Try hardwiring it or something and see if it's not working right. To me that would be the easiest thing to check and the cheapest thing to fix, so I'd try that first.

This thing drove me crazy on an 8 hour drive to tallahassee when i stopped for gas, I thought my solenoid or starter died, till I figured it out.

I had the same problem w/ my 99 GSR...i brought it to the local Acura shop and they said it was the ignition solenoid constantly giving power to the starter solenoid and it eventually burned out the starter....i'm having them replace the ignition and i'm doing the starter......i hate electrical things!!

That sucks man, but that problem is more of a maintance part, is not like you blew it up because you were boosting it or anything like that. Just fix it, it's a nice reliable car. If you decide in the end to sell it, post it on orlandoforums.com and tamparacing.com I'm sure you will get tons of interest from them. When I sold my hatch it lasted one day. At $1500 I'm sure it will sell fast, I wish i could pick it up, but I'm trrying to get rid of one car before getting into another one.
