Default I'm false advertising now

Well it's been a long *** time since I've had a boosted car. Hell I think almost 2 years. I sold my eg hatch which had become a swap -----. 5 sohc's and 2 turbo kits. I had a LS swap that pieced together this past summer that had forged pistons rods...yada yada yada that I just got tired of being ripped off on parts that I bought for my swap and just sold the whole swap for dirt cheap. Now for the first time in awhile I'm hondaless. I've had a honda always in my garage or driveway as a daily driver or project car. It seem strange but feels good in a way. Just time to expand my knowledge beyond honda's. I bought a 93 Geo Metro and drove that around and that to my history of owning cars is the worse thing I've ever drove. I didn't buy it intending on modifying it or anything like that. Just a beater to get good gas mileage. So one night coming home I slammed on the brake and the front suspension got all fucked up. I didn't hit a damn thing and the camber was tilted in mad ricer style, one wheel was toe'd out and the steering had to be cocked 90 degrees to just drive straight. So I sold that for basically pennies to some local smuck. So I was looking around the surrounding area in craigslist.com to see what people were selling. Found some somewhat interesting stuff like come EG coupes and 4dr's but I'm just getting tired of EG's and honda/acura. So I decided to venture into something totally different. I haven't had a euro car since my very first car which was a 87 BMW 528. So last weekend my wife and I drove down to Chicago to check out a 94 Volvo 850 Turbo. I spoke to the woman who gave me a rundown on the car.
-Family owned as her father bought it new and then she got it from him
-96k on odometer
-Runs and drives fine just bought another truck and it sits now.
-No rust
-mechanically sound

So for 2550 I didn't think it sounded that bad. Only down side is that it's a slushbox but I still got my Z so after awhile sometime you just need a rest from shifting and it'll be more of a family car that my wife and I can both drive. She can drive stick fine but sometime you just don't feel like shifting or driving a car long distances with a loud *** exhaust or stiff *** suspension and something more comfy. So here is my new boosted eurotrash slush box in all of it's 3200lbs of glory.

It's not terribly fast but not slow that it can't get out of it's own way. All turbo models for 94 as far as I know came in 4 spd automatics. 5 cylinder 20v front wheel drive 222 hp and 221 lbs tq in a 3200 pound brick. Like most newer boosted euro cars. Boost is controlled electronically at 9.6psi so raising the boost manually isn't really an option since the ecu will just lower it. The snail is a ******** sized Mitsu TD04 unit good to up about 16psi. Only thing I plan on doing is a chip upgrade and just a intake and exhaust and better front mount and chargepiping. Chip upgrade will set boost to 14-15psi and the exhaust and intake and IC should set me around the 320-330ish range. I'll stop there cause I still want it to be reliable since parts for these things aren't too cheap. Bottomends are good to about 400whp but the auto trannies are the achillies heel and don't like anything above 400. I was looking for a turbo wagon but couldn't find any cheap enough. Damn I'm soo domesticated now it sad. Next thing you know I'll be looking for a minvan!

I'm just retarded at posting pics. Try rubbing your eyes now. The red x's will change into real cars.

The wood dash is OG. ---- armor-all. I need to break out the Pledge and leather protectant since the dash is covered in leather also.

I was never a Volvo lover but a just closet fan of the 850's. Has like those Skyline boxy lines kind of... well maybe not.. but hey atleast I'm turbo'd once again! Gotta love these useless boost gauges in oem clusters. I have Frank keeping an eye open for a cheap boost gauge and a HKS shroom filter for cheap if he ever finds a good one in the yard.

nice, i've always liked volvo's. They are reliable, safe, and big. Plus the european styling is uber-clean.

i think the volvo ones might actually work. Some girl brought in an old 240 turbo to where i work, and i was testing it and maxed out the gauge. After some searching i discovered the WG line had dry rotted and fallen off. I fised it, and told her dad when he picked it up, he said he's giving me the car as soon as she graduates HS (may). sweeet.

Not saying it's useless as in it doesn't work. Just that you can't really tell what exactly it's boosting at since there's no numbers or even indicating lines. Just need to find a place to mount a boost gauge so it doesn't look out of place in this fancy smancy interior. I wonder if any have wood inserts? lol. Not to mention my wife gets a orgasm just sitting in the heated leather seats. Oooh la la. One thing I found is that it has some goofy as bolt pattern that only a couple of manufacturers use.... Ferarri, Jaguar... and something else I can't think off the top of my head right now but damn! Just have to find some nice stock rims since it has hubcaps right now and only 15's. Hell the sticker inside the door said it's suppose to come with 16's so it probably came with rims and these were just winter wheels or somenthing. I should call back the owners and see if they have any other wheels for it. I can alway dream that they were the turbo rims.
