Btw, nice job on predicting the future on a subject you know nothing about. How do you know that the upgrades and new look of the forum won't attract new users to replace the one's that are gone?

Do you have any idea how many other car sites are owned by his company? This isn't the first time he's had to flush the crap out of a new site.

You know what. I belive you 100% that they were cool.

They obviously built a great site and community here that made it worthy of someone even wanting to buy.

The problem is that people get all upset when they see a change rather than giving it a chance and trying to be accepting of it.

Even worse is that they feel like they're owed something. The thing people forget is that this site is NOT free. Sure, they get to use it for free, but the site itself certainly is not.

Between the cost of servers, connectivity, bandwidth and all of the other stuff that goes along with running a site it's very expensive.

Rick pays the bills so he gets to do what he wants. If he wanted to turn this site in to a forum about turbo-charged vibrators then he'd be completely within it's rights. It's up to the users to decide if they still want to continue with a community like that.

The only rights a user here has is in deciding if they want to continue coming. If they don't then they need to get over themselves and just leave. There's no use coming here and bitching about it all the time.

Rick wins. EVERY time. There's no way you can beat the guy who owns the site and controlls all access. So either get along and make nice or go away and find somehwere else to hang.

The sooner people figure that out the easier their lives will be around here.

I believe the problem most of the OGs have is his use of other people's work and claiming it as his own. Photos and articles taken and written when the site owners did not claim ownership of said posts. Now RickP claims he has a copyright on this stuff without giving the OPs a chance to remove their own work before being banned.

I beg to differ. This site has a reputation as a ---- hole and that reputation has circled the whole, wide intraweb. All it had keeping it afloat were the OG's and now they're gone. It'll never be what it was without them. The best your boy Rick can hope for is a site full of retards that will at least keep his view count up, but even that is unlikely as there's really no reason for people to come here now. When IB bought Honda-Tech they pissed a lot of people off and a lot of people left. But that site had a massive membership base and was solid to begin with so it attracted intelligent new users and many of the OG's ended up coming back. This site is a worthless shithole with very few active users and had turned into nothing more than an E-hangout for the OG's. It never claimed to be anything else and it worked as it was. Your home boy thought he'd turn it into something else. He pissed of the OG's and now they're gone so it has nothing going for it.

I do have to say though, it's nice not having to come here on a proxy.

With Ricks latest actions he'll be in prison soon. Not only did he "hack" (and I use the term LOOSELY) the old HMT DB for passwords and blindly go around attempting to change peoples accounts elsewhwere (his interpretation is thats what hacking is), he also (in fact Im pretty sure this hitman ****** is him....) has fucked around with peoples email and bank accounts and is about to get fucked by the longdick of the law. Its not a joke. He fucked up.

If he would have just left ---- how it was, changed to vbulliten and left well enough alone... He (actually his daddy) would make his money, and the website would have been just fine. Even after Xeno starting the spiral into the ground. Its actually debatable whos fault it is more IMHO.

BOTH sites could have co existed, trying to SUE ---- is futile... Everyone there brought there own IP with them. Whats the point of tryinng to bring people there that want to be here and vice versa Everyone that left left because they didnt want to be here or were banned... If you think that anything he's done is illegal and worthy of going to jail then you have serious issues.

PS - I promise you I am not Rick. I will say that I know him (never met in person) and I've gone through this before. All I can say is that you're going about it ALL wrong if you want to get any sort of results

A site/forum like this is only as good as it's users. Acting this way just makes everyone here look childish and immature.

I'm guessing this is why Rick had to ban a bunch of people. You were just never taught how to act in normal society. Chances are you aren't even like this in real life but enjoy the anonymity of the Internet.

I'd be willing to guess you're probably a pretty nice guy who works a regular 9-5 type job like I do but has some twisted view on what's happening here. Rather than doing the normal and mature thing and taking an intelligent look at the situation you're just getting pissed and resorting to name calling.

I'll say it again. You're doing it wrong. If your goal is to bring the site back to being respectable then your actions will not help. If you want the site to die and go away then your posts just work against that goal.
