update...
THe realty company is not the people asking us to leave...the person who owns the property is the person asking us to leave. However, the person who owns the property is the son of the Leasor. We are in no way in breach of our upstanding contract or in no way have violated the contract. Things are being taken to a legal level due to the poor way in which this situation is being handled. They are going to change the locks on the building by saturday morning...

If you guys invested money in those big wooden whatever, Demand that he get reimbursed for that money. If they say no say OK then you need to formally evict me which means let ou know what part of the contract that you breached. and in those thirty days, which you haven't paid for you party like crazy ----------ers to **** them off hardcore, until they decide to give you money.

We have in no way breached the contract...the exact words of the leasor are "the owner does not want that kind of business in there" However, there is nothing saying we cant do that kind of work. It is not in writing nor was it verbally expressed to us in the beginning of the business agreement. The Reality commission is being contacted and will help in deciding what our plan of legal action will be. The owner of the property has no legal say in what we do unless it is in the contract that we signed and agreed to.

Damn Nick you're starting to sound like a lawyer. Student during the day, bartender at night. Lawyer...inbetween those times. I cant wait to see how this ---- goes down. Hopefully it'll end up all good. Id prefer Rick just get to keep that shop. If people don't like it..---- 'em.

haha owner can't give you the boot. the realty company has control of the leasing as issued by the owner! Unless the owner somewhere mentioned that they have the power to terminate any contract without penalities, which would also have to be stated in your contract. Which I doubt.

not really though. from my thinking, if there was no additional contract signed that states an agreement to terminate the lease, then it's like, why did they give it to me?
but what you said makes a good point, but if it does go to court, I would suggest justifing the cashing of the check as a precaution to avoid any possible way the check could have been lost. 6k is a lot of money to trust on a sheet of paper. Say the money would have been safer in an FDIC insured bank account rather than a slash of paper in your pocket.
