If an injector came unplugged what would it do?

The engine light came on, but I had to drive it home which is about 30 miles away. When I got home I found out that the fuel injector clip had come off. What kinda of could I have done to the engine?

Which cylinder did the injector plug pop off of?

if it was off of #2 then it probably was going off and on really fast for a lil while.. and that causing a lean condition, to lean.. and might have burnt some rings :-(
