Default Idle issue when engine warms up??????

Every day while driving to work about 10-15min into driving
my car starts to idle eractically when stopping at a red lights or stop sign. I've check for loose connection already. Try another distributor that i know it's good.
Replace my spark plug wires and plugs about 6 months ago.
If any of you have had this issue, I like to know how you got it fix.......tia

I have not HAD this issue.. i HAVE it.., its a pain in the ***. My idle falls to like 200 then up to 900 or 1000 then to 200 again over and over. I've been told its the Idle air control valve. it just needs a good cleaning.. so try that out.. let me know if it helps.!

OK, first of all, your not alone lol. I have had the very same problem... well...similar... when i would drive to school my car would stall on me or idle at like 50 rpm.. i think maybe one cylinder was firing . Anyway... i have tried adjusting the idle sooooo many times, but after i would restart the car, i would have the same problem. So what i did is turn the idle screw to about stock, then i diconected my batery for atleast 15 min. Then i adjusted the idle to stay about 1000 rpm. Now its great! and never stalls on me. Let me know if u have more ?'s

Well, looks like we're in the same boat. I did clean the idle box about a month ago. I'll try again.....I'm going to try a new cap and rotor, too....

will let you know how it goes......

I heard somewhere that the ELD (Electronic Load Detector) may be the cause of the problem. It doesnt adjust idle as per engine load properly.. clean the contacts see if u can fix it.

what i did with my 90 teg was changed the O2 Sensor closest to the exhaust manifold, i know there's another one but i haven't been able to get the time to change it.. but changing the other one stopped my irratic idling
