I would say the lancer is an ok choice my friend has one that he put turbo in the day after he got it off the car lot he does rolling start races from 40+ on 167 all the time and wastes all the honda's and practically everything but a svt cobra he went against.

Well, I was starting to think of the evo8 or the rx-8 'cuz it has 4 seats. I know what you guys are thinking. . what's the big deal? Well . . . driving around my del sol for the past 2 years, I've definitely came across more than one occasion where I wish I had more than 2 seats. So, I know how it is. 2 seats are nice, but .. . if I'm gonna keep this car for a while, might as well make it work. It'd be nice if the rx-8 dropped in price a little (doubt that's gonna happen...) then I just throw a turbo in there. It would give me the RWD I want, way >200whp, 4 seats 
, not to mention they're fast as ---- on the turns. I'm sure I'll be hating the rotary engines when the thing takes a ---- in the engine compartment though 
The more I think about it, the more I don't want a 2 seater again, so I might not go w/mr2 or s2000. Evo8 is an amazing machine too. Definitely up there w/performance, but where's the fun if you don't turbo it yourself?

Eh, its already turbo of course.. so the fun would be in upgrading it all to hell.
And I had a CRX (hence the name) and can vouch that it sucked half the time only having one seat other than mine. I've had friends ride in the hatch before, but that wasnt too fun for them :P
I love the Evo 8's... I'd definitely go with that.
