I would rig up a standalone unit with a small water can somewhere. Run a separate switch on the interior of the car... lol. If someone asked me about it, I would love to say, "well, that's my nozzle sprayer for the intercooler".

BTW, the idea I had up top I believe will in fact work. Someone with some spare time on their hands try this:

Get a small intercooler, and fill it up with water. Put it under the front bumper and drive around for a while. I'm quite sure when you feel the intercooler, it should be very cool or even cold. I'm making it one of my goals to have a water cooled intercooler now. That way I can be even more ghetto (and of course done nice). I will keep y'all informed on this... hahaha

!
OK.. Sorry to post twice, but it was required in this case. I found a site that explains ALOT on this subject. It the text I found this:

"Another example. In my high-boost Mira Turbo I ran a water/air intercooling system. The water/air heat exchanger comprised a highly modified ex-boat multi-tube copper heat exchanger, with a few litres of water in it. An electric pump circulated the water through a separate front-mounted cooling core. Intake air temp was measured using a thermistor and a dedicated LCD fast-response meter."

It looks like I was on the right track about my idea I drew above. Also YOU MUST CHECK OUT THIS SITE! It explains alot... Check it out.

It even has a section about water spraying, etc....
