Welcome to another installment of HMT Canadian stylez. Basicly just a post up of ---- I’ve been working on lately.
I Blew the diff out in my tranny with the launch control out front my house, I got it setup perfectly, the diff actually exploded and there is still pieces of it stuck in the sheet metal of my car, its pretty sicc. I swapped out the tranny and put in one of mikes clutches, (thanks mike) I left the engine in the car

This was my downpipe at the time, ---- did this thing look bad, I have since replaced it with a mandrel bent 2.5 piece that follows closer to the oil pan, hopefully this time I don’t bottom out. The worst downpipe flanges ( I find) are these 3 bolt ones, they are hard to bolt on, don’t offer much lip for a seal, and finding gaskets is a pain. I had a lot of problems with it leaking and ------- up my wideband readings, I thiknk its cause I wasn’t using a flex pipe.
Tranny apart
The person who owned my car before me decided they’d paint the dash white, I spent a good 10 hours scrapping all that ---- off, needless to say it looked like ----. A buddy of mine works at the local used Honda parts place, he hooks me up with all sorts of goodies.
When he gave me this dash, I searched up Honda-tech and found conflicting info on whether or not it fit with the stock blower assembly. It was said that the dash ‘fit but the mounts didn’t line up very well’, boy is that an understatement. This dash swap has quite possibly been one of the hardest things I’ve done to this car. Everything had to be cut, the dash, the heater assembly, the firewall, the steering brace had to be removed, the steering column had to be re worked so it sat half an inch to the left.
I had to extent wires, cut holes in the firewall, cut random pieces of metal from random places. What made it so hard is there is no way to hold the dash in place well you are trying to fit it, and almost no way to tell what exactly was hitting and where.
Notice my trusty rusted pipe used to prop it in position.
You can see my authentic 2003 WRC Number #41 Josephen Garcia Subaru sparco seat, I got it on a special deal, needless to say, it was well used, it needed a shower.
I”ll tell you, nothing beats sitting in the shower in a sparco smoking dope with the rest of your family unaware in the next room, lol.
Anyway, back to the dash, here it is finally installed, I still need to add a couple of things, but its in there and wired up.

Still needs a wipe down, the glove box, clock, and passenger side air bag cover put back on. Surprisingly, the wires for the heater control plugged right in, I also rigged up the warm/cold temperature slider to control the direction instead. I can reach under the dash and pull the line if I wana change it to re circulated or if I wana change it to cold instead of warm, but its Canada, so there’s no need.

overall, the dash swapped sucked, it took forever, the dash aint that great, I don't have a place for my sick guages, I gotta wait on my buddy for a GSR cluster which could very well never happen, and I was stuck with out a car for ever. Im thinking I should make a write up on the install for HMT entitled 'the biggest waste of time in HMT history'

So heres a shitty 2 am video to **** off my neibours, I’m running pretty much open downpipe, no traction, and lots o boost! in retrospect it was kinda gay to pump the gas like that, you guys dont really get the feel of what the car is doing, but its siccc y0
